Formed in late 2008, Mother's Cake signed to GAB Music. Their debut "Creation's Finest" (release date: 26.10.2012) was produced by Georg Gabler and introduced by Ikey Owens († 2014, member of The Mars Volta & Jack White). Creation's Finest not only caused a stir in the national and international music press, but also ensured that Mother's Cake took a firm place in the industry.

The first single "Soul Prison" (08/17/2012) reached over 250,000 hits on YouTube.

In 2013 they won the Austrian Newcomer Award and played many sold out shows including support gigs for Iggy and the Stooges, Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group, Deftones and Tito & Tarantula.

The "Endless Space Tour 2014" took them to Australia in February 2014. The band received a warm welcome Down Under and successfully played 12 shows in 2 weeks. On April 4th, Mother's Cake made their debut in Germany, played a tour there and announced their new video project.

"Off The Beaten Track" is presented as a 45 minute film showing an entire live set from Mother's Cake. It was successfully funded by a crowdfunding project and officially released on July 17, 2014.

In the fall of 2014, Mother's Cake supported Anathema on their Distant Satellites, which toured 20 countries and played 42 shows over 56 days.

Her second studio album "Love The Filth" was released on June 5, 2015 via the newly founded label Panta R&E with the single "Gojira". Here, too, the reviews were euphoric. As a result, Mother's Cake are announced as supporting Limp Bizkit on four shows, including one in London
