The Dresden reggae band Alberthain was formed in 2003 from weekly jam sessions by various musicians of different styles.
After several line-up changes and style extensions, the singer "Lisa Garcia Veit", who is well known beyond Dresden, and the reggae/dancehall MC "Tree Dread", who is known for his diverse activities in the scene, have been at the head of the band since 2015.
Alberthain stands for versatility and not just musically. Because the eight musicians, five of whom see music not only as a calling but as a job, also leave the barrier behind in terms of language. Their music combines genres like ska, reggae and hip hop. Her lyrics in German, English and Spanish are partly socially critical, partly political, partly shockingly honest, melancholic or carefree... just like life itself.
Where Alberthain plays, the air burns! Your show guarantees action and excitement, not only on but also in front of the stage. Their concerts have made everyone dance until now, because a concentrated charge of positive energy and spontaneous singing are just as much a part of their show as the interaction with the audience.
After her debut (CD – Elbe, 2009) and numerous performances at home and abroad, her second release on vinyl was released in 2017.
