RENÉ is a young 5-piece band from Koblenz.
At the end of 2015, frontman René Tholey, the winner of the "Voice of Kowelenz" contest, was looking for musicians for the studio recordings of his first EP. René, Jakob Jösch (guitar), Franz Meier (bass) and Christian Bauer (drums) quickly noticed the potential of their interaction and founded the project "René Tholey and Band".
In the following year, the band gained an enthusiastic fan base in Koblenz and the surrounding area. Meanwhile, the sound evolved more and more from quiet singer-songwriter music to energetic rock and pop.
In 2017 change is on the agenda. "René Tholey and Band" becomes the band "RENÉ". With the addition of John Ray Miller (guitar), the band is working on a new program with which they can be heard again in mid-2017.
